Hinduism
Sacred scriptures of the Vedas or Divine Truth. The word Veda means knowledge. These are the oldest of the Hindu texts and are arranged in four collections. The roots of Hindu wisdom and teaching are contained in these scriptures. Each of the Vedas contain supplementary texts which contributed to the development of Hindu beliefs.[2, 14]
Smriti (remembering): These writings provide information about kings and gods, the activities of a particular deity, and guides to proper conduct.[14]
